I was looking in my book last night I if we start early enough I think we can hit Strawberry pass and Deer Vally on Saturday and Slick Rock Sunday. I'm down to hit two trails in one day if you guys are :D

Hell yeah. thats what i was thinking. I had it reversed in my mind tho lol. SR->DV->Strawberry and then shoot home on 50 since it dumps out there. Either way works tho, I just wanna wheel. The trails arent that long so we should be able to do do all 3 in two days no problem. Anyways, either way, I saw we hit all 3 !

Yeah we could go that way too if we wanted. That would be better to just jump on 50 and head home. But i do think we should hit too the first day so were not leaving the trail late on Sunday. Some of us have a 3 hour drive home :)

Yeah I agree with that as well. Two trails the first day and then hit the 3rd trial somewhat early on Sunday so people can drive home safe. Camp either at the end of DV or at the start of the 3rd trail. And if any locals wanted to just make a day trip itd be worth it for them on Saturday.

So are you guys thinking, camping friday night also, or just meeting early on saturday morning, and going from there.
I like the idea of camping Deer valley on saturday night, would that be the north or south end?

    Edit,

    Have you guys seen this?

Camping Friday night sounds good to me I like that more so we don't have to wake up at the but crack of dawn to get to the trail in the morning. Well if we work from the south up hitting Slick rock first it would be the north end.

I was asking about friday night becasue i'm not sure I would be able to camp. But would be coming from Lincoln on saturday morning.

Also, I will be bringing a spare front axle, it might not be a bad idea for the IFS guys, which i think is everybody. cause if you break one your not getting mine:p

So, I have a stupid question about our Tacomas.

If you break a front axle, can you still drive the truck if you shift to 2WD?

I live in Lincoln and am thinking about coming, just a bit to far out for me to know yet. I would be interested in caravaning with you on Saturday morn. if I decided to go. I will check this thread as time gets closer to let you know if I am going to be able to make it and hopefully pick a place to meet up maybe like in front of Jamba Juice in Lincoln. I guess we would have to leave around 5 or so to make it up to the trail by 8. Whatever works for make it up there on time. Thx, look forward to meeting you. What color truck do you have? Extra cab? I have a black dcab. maybe I will see you around town.

Blackdog, I don't live in Lincoln so you won't see me around, but I will be staying with a mate on the friday night, so we can still meet up and run upto the trail together in the morning. I have a black xtra cab, lets work out a meeting place closer to the time.
