Yea, I can't afford to have my truck as my daily driver and also keep beating on it. I don't make enough money right now to keep fixing things so I'm just going to take it easy right now and fix the paint, squeaks, and clean it up the best I can.

    :(

I know, it's not that I don't want to stop wheeling. It's just the smart thing for me to do right now.

I was actually contemplating selling it for the longest time. Was going to list it on here for 15k and purchase a car. I'm doing a lot of driving for my new job now so I kept going back and forth on the decision. I think I'll miss my truck way to much though so I'm keeping it for now.

I want to keep wheeling, it's just not practical for me at this stage in my life. I'll still go to mod days, camping trips, and a few light trails, but no more mud or big rocks for me anymore. My truck is becoming a mall crawler.

Well that sucks but you have to do what you have to do. Slick rock is a light trail so you can still go

That right there is why I don't go on the "risky" trips. Not sure I'd do long canyon just because I can't afford to break anything. I do plenty of easy stuff in the mountains. And this is also one of the main reasons I like the snow wheelin trips...not much risk of breaking anything in snow. We'll just have to plan more of them this coming year.

I understand the reasoning. I commute about 60 miles a day. Since I got my FJC last year in FEB. I have put roughly 45,000 miles on it since then. I sometimes consider buying a FJ60 or FJ80. I don't go out wheeling with the intention for stuff to break but shit happens. I figure, " Got to pay to play" and " I work hard to play hard".

Dam I put 60 miles on my truck a month  maybe less. My truck go's to Home Depot and the trails and that's about it :D i did put 10,000 miles on it last year but I drove to Utah twice.

Damn, I'd definitely be up to this if it were a few weeks later. I'll keep an eye out for any more runs though. Have fun!
