Hey all so I'm on a long road trip from central canada down the coast and tonight were staying in San Fran (oakland to be exact) I noticed my truck felt weird, sure enough I guess I blew my drivers rear strut somewhere in the mountains...

    Truck is 2001 4x4 Trd
I got some tools with me ( sockets wrenchs , the basics) so I can probably swap it was wondering if anyone knows where I can pickup a set of bilateins in the bay area? Looking for 5100's all 4 corners (adjustable front) figured might as well upgrade while I'm at it and in that case it'd way easier if I could use someone's driveway and compressor and what not so I could do all 4 ! Obviously I'd provide beer!

If anyone can tell me where to get parts or wants to do a Canadian bro a huge solid and let me use ur driveway / air tools let me know, best reply would be to text me as well as reply here my number is 1 701 520 2393

Hey! I live in San Francisco. Best place to pick up something like that around here is gonna be 4 wheel parts in Oakland or San Jose. I have a full garage in the city which I am more than happy to help you swap out some shocks. Even a welder and spare metal if you wanna reinforce anything. Give me a call (415) 832-0020. I can help you out. I Leave tuesday morning for a month so anything will need to be done tomorrow. Or email me @ Crookbook@gmail.com

I just gave him a text and gave him the 4 wheel parts info. They are the only place that would stock em. I ONLY have spare front fabtech that works, the adjustable 3" lift for the front. Hopefully, I can swap it them out for him and get him back on his adventure!

If you can get your parts i'm sure a few people can come out and help. Your lucky the bay has a lot of members, and replacing shocks is easy. If your making your way through Santa Cruz and planning to stay in this area let me now. 4wheel parts might not have the 5100's you might need to over night it to a local member your going to be working with.

I'm in Oakland but have none of the things you need beyond the driveway and the beer :( I hope it works out w crookbook, and I know there are other Oakland area people on here, too, during the day.

There is a 4Wheel Parts in Oakland; hopefully they have what you need there... I'll be around tomorrow after 5:30 if you need stuff shuttled around.

Good luck, jealous of the roadtrip ...

4 wheel parts is all I know for quick access parts around here right? Online they have the bilstein shock for tacoma's.

I get my stuff from Off Road warehouse and have fabricator friends in Santa Cruz and Sacramento.

The only other thing I know of is Shaffer's Off-road which isn't actually far from the 4Wheel parts, in Alameda, but their site doesn't look as promising for these parts.

Ya i have heard about them, but found them to have less supply and brands than 4 wheel parts. Not great.... Better to be stuck in SO CAL.
