I might be buying a complete CB set up so I should be good to go. Alvin thanks for the offer and I'll keep you in the loop if the CB doesn't work out.

It takes about 10 minutes. You can do it at the trail.

Yea a bunch of us are meeting at the In-N-Out in Pleasanton at 3PM. We probably won't be at camp until 6PM. So if you get there at noon, that gives you 6 hours to explore and :jerkoff: :D

Do you guys have the caravan route planned out on a map or something I can peek at? I want to see if I'll be able to meet up with you guys Friday but I don't think I'm off work until 2 that day. All I know is you're meeting at pleasanton.

Depends on which route you are taking from Sac. Last time we met up near 99 and 4 in Stockton. So if you take 99 or 5 down we can meet up around there.

And then Mikey was thinking about taking 16/49 down to 4. If that's the case, we can always make a stop at Angel's Camp which is at 49 and 4. http://goo.gl/maps/sWprP

edit: This is the route we'll be taking from Pleasanton: http://goo.gl/maps/BLVhP

I think I remember passing through angel's camp last time. I plugged my address into both the trail head coordinates and the angels camp one. Looks like the path it recommends takes me through there. I'll see if I can catch up to you guys and meet you somewhere on your route or at that angel's camp area if you stop there.

Anyone know a decent tent? Nothing crazy fancy but nothing cheap that will rip or fall apart after a couple uses. Only really need it to be able to fit 2-3 people in it at most.

Maybe you can coordinate with Mikey to meet there and we'll have that be one of our pitstops to gas up. Anything East of Angel's Camp and we'll get raped with gas prices.

re: tent - Can't go wrong with Costco :D

Jerry cans for gas are awesome.

MJ, should I take my truck up anyway and leave it at one of the overflow parking areas just for cargo?

If you want to drive it, I'm pretty sure you can at least make it to the camp site without sliders. Also, if there's time after Slick Rock, I was thinking of doing Corral Hollow and it's more of a scenic route with some parts needing 4wd, but you can totally do that trail with your truck and snap some good shots

But if you just want to roll with me and save $ on gas, then I'm not trippin either. We'll be fine as far as space goes.

How long does it take to get to the camp from Dublin? I'm debating staying Sat, but I have my nieces bday party on Sunday and I can't miss it.
