Hey! We just relocated from Chicago to Norther Cal (Redwood City/Menlo Park) and still doing the apartment thing. Is there anyplace nearby that someone mind recommend for having my sliders painted? I'm just looking for spray can stuff...primer and semi-gloss black (not using as steps-traction isn't an issue), and maybe some cleaning/prep. I still need to pickup the sliders- so no rush :)

Hey Sean if you want to make a trip down here (SJ) you can paint them in my garage. I painted my radiator and a bunch of other things.

Or like we discussed at the BAMF mod day. I don't think Jerry will mind. But you should send him a PM just in case.

Are you painting them while on the truck or off?

Hey Ruben! Thanks, I might take you up on that. I can toss you a few $$ for the trouble or buy lunch. I'd like to paint them before mounting (bolt-on). I'll wait to drill until I actually need to use them as sliders. I should probably actually BUY them first too- ha

Will do- I just sent a msg. to Demello regarding local pickup-- maybe I'll just powder coat them and be done with it. I'll keep you posted. Thanks again!

Why? Powder coat will just get ripped off on the first rock. Spray in bed coating shit works great. If it gets scuffed, just paint again. I usually repaint them every month or two.

Hey! I purchased some from Demello. I'll be picking them up in So. Cal. I went ahead and had them powder coated, for $85, I figured screw it- save me the trouble. They'll become beat up, I know-but not for a little while at least. :) Any tips for drilling 3 holes per side, on the frame? Center punch? 14V too wimpy of a drill?
