May actually be getting my new truck Friday if I can work it out, and turns out I have that day off now so hopefully I'll be assessing what needs to be done and degreasing years of neglect. That and drinking beer.:woot:

Let's do it! My birthday is the Sept 25. I'm sure I could get us a screaming deal on a keg of either lagunitas or the heroine.

83 toyota, ugly as all hell but 4wd, factory power steering, factory ac, interior is super clean and got it for a deal. It's a friends so I've just been giving him a couple hundred at a time when I have spare cash. Hoping to have it on 35s, geared and locked before king of the hammers.20140720_200754_683b554910bbd7768fd95126754a175d0498d387.jpg

What are you doing with 1st gen parts?? It just had a used transmission put in, so we will see how that holds up for now... and I actually like the rust and ugliness because I have a vision of what it will look like when I'm done so yes, patina hahaha.

I ended up with it when I was planning an SAS. It's out of a slightly newer pickup but same thing,if u want the reduction case for a double case setup.

I might take you up on that, the thing I'm liking about the 1st gens is everything is so cheap and readily available... Dual case adapter for 400 new, I can find full transmission and dual case setups on cl for 800 or so, the most expensive part is going to be going propane and the trail gear lift for the front.

Saw you downtown SR near the mall on B St last night. Let me know when you guys are going to do that install. I still want to crank up my coilovers a bit so maybe we could knock that out the same day.

Maybe a Mod Day is in order? We haven't done one of those up here in a long while... Who's got space for a bunch of trucks in their yard?
