If you are getting back into archery, I would like to suggest a gently used bow. Craigslist is full of bows that have been purchased new, sat in a closet for a couple of years, then sold. I picked up a 3 year old Matthews Outback for $250.00 a couple years ago, and have had great success with it. I sold my 10 year old well used Martin to a guy for $100.00. The Martin put a lot of meat in the freezer. If you do buy a used bow, you should at minimum have a new string and cable put on it. Oh, and practice. A lot. If you thought modding your truck was addictive, bow hunting will eat you up.

I've been thinking of getting a bow. My son loves going out back and shooting his toy bow and I think would be fun for us both to eventually take it up as a hobby.

    Thats not bad.

Ha! I guess I should go practice a bit before dropping any $$. Searching CL for a deal sounds like a great idea.

lars is bad ass just remember it takes years of shooting every day to even come close to any of those shots. Archery is a great hobby it a lot like golf when your target shooting At a range. 3d shoots are awesome if you ever get into it i highly recommend those.

Man. Didn't even know you were in to this stuff Jerry.

A couple months ago I picked up a Sage Samick take down bow with 35# limbs and assorted archery gear. Have only shot a couple times in my back yard, have been meaning to hit up a range and see what I can do. Have some 55# limbs to throw on for hunting once I'm confident with it.

    back to bone stock.
I couldn't draw a tag to save my life. I opted for a AO tag, so I'll just hunt local.

    D7 and D13 I suppose. V
