I've been considering doing one for a while now. Any more info? Cost and distance of race?

    Don't care.

Don't need 4x4 for tough mudder...unless of course you're talking about legs and arms.

theres only one way to insert the clutch lever. had to take the tie bars off to clock it but I didn't move anything. As far as i can tell when the lever is engaged it pushes the gear ring around a gear which is fixed to the mounting leg, which keeps it from turning. It will turn when not engaged.

And watching them pull themselves over a 12 foot wall after being completely drenched is....titillating.

Yep, definitely 10 miles of dick...

    :)

But in all seriousness, I experienced enough of that stuff in BCT to feel like doing it again. I love the outdoors and getting out there, but ehh, not this so much. It does look fun, and I'll bet Tahoe will be a beautiful location to do it in!

Nah, it was clear. It was however closed right after the ridge where you can see the Bear Valley chairlifts. Not sure why but there was a barbed wire fence stretched across the trail.

What I was thinking about the lever was that it could be inserted in such a way that it seemed correct and sort of worked but does not fully engaged.

Can you move it back to the original position and see if that changes anything? I don't think it should but worth a shot.
