Anyone wanna go to Frank Raines this coming Saturday? Never been there, but looks like fun. I think Nirvana and maybe CalTacoma09 are in. I can't leave Alameda until 830 am that morning, so guessing we would be there around 10. I know HH is the weekend after. I am planning on doing both

For those of you guys with DD's, do you still change the oil on your tacos at 5k (or whatever interval you use), even when it's more than 3-5 months? Or do you change at whatever comes first?

Is a 1.5 inch block big enough for axle wrap problems on a non offroad DD?

You need a shim not a block. Shims correct the angle of the driveline and will help with wrap. A blocks just going to lift the rear it won't solve anything, and most likely will make it worse.

So block = no good. Block + shim = okay.

Am I pickin' up what you're puttin' down?

Wait. What exactly is the question?

You're currently having axle wrap problems?

Or you want to add a block and you hope not to introduce any axle wrap problems?

No wrap issues. A local member has a 1.5" block sitting in his garage from the old lift his truck had when he purchased it.

Just toying with the idea since my 5100s come in today on the brown truck of sticking it on the rear and setting 5100 to 1.75, or keeping it stock 3 leaf in rear and setting at .85

Adding a block adds leverage. The more leverage you enable, the more likely you are to induce axle wrap.
