Installing a CB radio

Hey does anyone know how to install a cb radio going through the firewall to the battery and then connecting an antenna mounted in the bed?

 

Pretty easy man. You run two wires into the engine, one to the pos on the battery and one to a ground. Then with the coax, what I did was ran it through the rubber plug under the passenger seat then hit it with silicone.

 

o really...im an iodiot when it comes to doing that stuff lol im usually just the driver and i have someone else do my car work haha

 

Trust me, I am the same way, and I hooked up my CB by myself. The hardest part is finding where I wanted to mount it.

 

i used a coat hanger to pull the wires from the firewall into the engine bay, rounding the end of the hanger kinda like a question mark (?). i used a firestick NGP antennae for the bed and drilled a hole to run the coax its hidden under the inner plastic fender skirt and ran along the frame zip tied to a larger wire bundle and through grommet that comes under the driver's seat.

 

Ya, I used the coat hanger when I installed my lights, but when I installed my CB I removed the lights and tied the CB wires to the light wires so when I pulled the light wires the CB wires came through.
