When is the rain/snow gonna stop?

Memorial Day is the so called "unofficial start of summer" but man, it sure feels like the start of winter.

Tonite's WX forecast says showers tomorrow followed by showers on Wednesday (with a chance of T-storms in the Bay Area). Saturday and Sunday, rain. Snow in the Sierra.

Please, pray for sunshine and soon

Those winds are vicious too. Aren't they called Chinooks? I went on the tour at NCAR while I was house sitting for some friends in Ned. I just remember there were a couple of nights I thought the house was gonna get blown away

tell me about it. i went hiking on saturday with the wife and another couple and the weather man was off by a freaking mile. our last hr of hiking was wet and ugly, urrgghh.

 

i agree with YFZ. I want summer to be here NOW. went down to shasta oregon to camp. FUKING started snowing, i thought i was way drunk or an airplane was going to crash lol

 

and effn snow! But then everyone up in my area has been telling my wife for years not to plant a garden until after Father's Day since we can continue to get snow in June. It's just that when winter begins in full force in early November, continuing it into June is just too long, especially when we only have one month of summer lately (July was the only warm month last summer). Looks like this summer will be similar to last year's.

 

And so it continues today. I haven't seen this hard of rain in the morning since the middle of december. WTF

 

on saturday shaver lake had a 3 inch of snowfall. pretty amazed that it still snow in early summer in shaver lake.

 

It's been in the upper 80's - lower 90's the past couple days here, with sunshine. Just sayin....

But I feel for you though. We've been getting a lot of rain too. It was really getting old!

 

Normally, the weather is killer starting around Memorial Day. Consistent temps and sunshine. This year, it would be easier to note the days we've had sunshine than it would the days we have not

 

I'm hoping this means we can still have campfires in the Sierra into early July at least

 

The last time we got any measurable moisture was in the form of snow in like February

 

You will probably be able to get burn permits at this rate

 

move to NC if you want sunshine (and killer humidity). it's 98 degrees today!
