How strong is my running gear
has any body had any problems running 35'' on a 07 tacoma 4x4 ? i do allot of crawling and need to know if the axles can handle it

plenty of people w/ 35's on here...most have 33's..and at least one has 37's

i will not be rock crawling ,i just craw in general on trails i am not heavy on the gas so to speak .i have lots of experience on trails .my old truck was a 74 f-100 with a 400 small block sm465 np205 Detroit lockers with a dana 44 and a dana 60 in the back with 4:11 gears im just not familiar with the week points on a Tacoma's running gear .i sold my old ford and allot of the trails i use during hunting season require at least 35'' and i was just wondering if any of yall with 35'' actually take them on trails and if yall have Had any trouble ,and i know u can break anything
i usta break axles all the time on my ford and i was running 36''tsl's

Although I do not have 35's I feel that you are safe, sounds like your experience should get you through, the drive line will do the rest.

you'll likely find the tallest 3. or shortest 4. about right for most cases. those being normally 3.93 and 4.11 with the nod usually going to the 4.11's the TRD stock 3.73 is pretty solid RAR for the set up. I would really reexaming my tire and driveline needs before committing to regearing up from there esp on a daily driver.
