Anytime man. There is one entrance that is closer to Vietnam Vets and then the entrance down by the fire station. I haven't been in a while so it might be grown up. If I wasn't going out of town I would meet up with you and drive back there. I have also heard there are quite a few fun forest service roads in Robertson and Cheatham County.

    A little a this, a little a that...
I think the first rule is "tell someone where you're going and when you'll be back." Nothing wrong with a solo adventure, just wheel a bit more conservatively.

Where might these forest service roads be?

There are some in Robertson and Cheatham counties which is north and northwest of Nashville. I will get more info on those. I see that you are in Franklin. There are some trails behind the Westhaven Subdivision in Franklin that are pretty good. I have a friend that has ridden back there before.

Funny you say that I just found those yesterday. Are you talking over by the golf club?

Yes I believe it is back by the golf course. I think there is an entrance near the Westhaven construction entrance.

Just the essentials and no extra fluff.
Get on youtube and check out some of the 4x4 driving guides. There is plenty of knowledge to be had from youtube.

Ok, so I found this site. I made an account. I live near nashville. I have a 4wheel itch that I need to scratch. With lots of mud, rock, branches, and water. Just got the tires off of my 94 grand Cherokee (4wd but automatic, booo) and are soon to mount them to the yota. I'm wanting to maybe go down near Chattanooga this weekend and wheel at prentice Cooper state forest, I've only ever hiked there but I hear the ohv trails are pretty neat.

Can you elaborate on the directions to these trails? I live in Old Hickory, so these would be really convenient for me.
