Refer to what I said before the pics also the sliders are more than just scratched, they are gouged in a few spots.

I just may have to join you guys at windrock if it coincides with my schedule.

Might get flamed for this but what's wrong with that UCA? Is it bent?

They had a batch several years back that had poor weld penetration. As you see, 2 of 'em broke.

They corrected that quality issue long ago.

Daym! Thats no bueno. Why did you just disconnect the driveshaft, and go down in Front wheel drive, instead of pulling the 3rd?

The axle would turn and mesh the broken gears with or without the driveshaft.

^ Yep, the gears were binding and popping even with the drive shaft removed.

Both the ring and pinon had damaged/missing teeth.

And that's why I use ECGS! Nice patina on those gears, huh? ;)

On the truck I'm building now, I have four manual hubs so that I could, if I had to, disconnect the driveshaft and disengage the rear wheels.

For now, I will just hope that I don't blow a rear on a trail. :D

Or you could go full floater:D

but that's smart thinking having manual hubs on the rear, can't say I've heard of that before.
