First carnage!

Got my cherry popped. Was on a trail to a local fishing spot thats in kinda rough shape right now and took a bad line. Ended up nailing a rock with my stock skid plate. Made a loud ass noise, at first I thought I nailed the rock with my bull bar and that I should expect to have some damage, luckily I had that skid plate there.

Pics.

Right side, for comparison purposes.

Left side.

It's not much, but my truck is no longer a virgin.

Now I have a reason to justify getting some sliders from Budbuilt after I do my suspension + tires.

Yep. Now that I've already damaged something, I won't feel bad next time it happens...

As for the skid, can I just unbolt it and hammer out the dent?

Yea depending on how bad it is, it should be easy enough just to pound out. However imo it's just more reason to get some nice bud built skids

That's not carnage that's expected. And it's not body damage due to it being done to the "skid" plate. Now where is the pin striping that you did? Anyhow. Nice damage, now go forth and get those Bud Builts!!!

I'll try pounding it out Tomorrow after class. Only thing that's stopping me from getting some bud builts right now is my complete lack of funding. All good things to those who wait I guess.

I've got plenty of trail pin stripes, it seems that trees/shrubs/limbs/whatever really love my bedsides and cab.
