Holy Cross 8-13-11

Jace (lotsoftoys) and I met up with some toyota guys up at holy cross this past saturday...what a sick trail! met up around 7am to air down and catch up...made it up to french creek around 1030am and stayed there til around 330pm watching numerous rigs going through the creek..not a bad way to spend a sunny saturday in the rocky mountains!

got to french creek around 1030am and was treated to a lot of rigs making their way through

then we sat back to watch some more rigs roll through for a few hours

nice rigs, most likely $100k+ but talk about douchebags...they didn't understand the whole concept of "stay on the trail"

that shit would be terrible...definitely need 35s and a high clearance rear to even entertain that idea

 

At the cottora takeover some guys were talking about a 2nd gen that went through it on 33 and a 3'' lift
He may have been the best driver ever or just stupid lucky if you are saying 35's are needed

 

or just doesn't give a shit about his truck

Side note: Wish I could wear jeans and a t-shirt during august. So jealous of your weather.

 

They said he made it through with very little damage most was done to the skids and sliders

 

honestly Dot theres a line "option A" way to left that may be possible. i was thinkin about it but i would want skids forsure. but thats with already KNOWING my sliders and rear bumper where gonna get use.... i was close to trying it.... next time with skids

 

I know the line you are talking about I have been thinking about trying it myself maybe when you are ready we can make a run at it

 

i would like to see a video or pics of this 2nd gen who made it through...

i would contemplate it with:

diff armor
rear bumper
shackle flip
new t-case skid (about sick of my allpro snagging shit!)

 

green truck is Jay there should be some new stuff out there as they just ran it about a week ago
