Stick on hood scoop from Autozone.
I used to go fast through mud. Then I grew up.

Mud will get everywhere, getting into components that are potentially important to your vehicle, thus causing problems.

    Solution? Take it easy. ;)

A 2 x 4 Pre-runner? I wouldn't doing any mudding beyond tame country roads. No 4 wheel is not helping with your Chevy and Dodge buddies.

Did you go "mudding" yet? How'd it go?

Find out if its saltwater mud or freshwater cause the saltwater is VERY corrosive so wash it 3x as good as you would have as if it was freshwater, if u go more often to the same place and it turns out to be saltwater, it will get the best of your truck. Been there done that with my Blazer from the extensive amount of corrosion on brakes and other various suspension parts but then again it was a CHEVY :)

Mud took out one of my idlers...

PITA to clean is the biggest reason to avoid it.

It is tough on shit though.

Mud is worse than sand. Sand at least blasts your rusty parts back to new. Mud owns your electrical too.
