TRESPASSING shoe creek!!!!!!

So, ive been planning a trip to shoe creek for my first time in the next few weeks wanting to know info about the trail i called the ranger station they told me that sense there is private prop. that nobody is allowed to use the trail unless you have permission then i got onto "VA4WDA" website and they state a map that says that the "red" trail only is ok and can drive it! i am highly confused most part becasue ive never been there before but i also dont wanna not go can anyone help with my problem??? can we go there? or can we not go there? any info would be great thanks guys!! ps. if we are not able to go there does anyone know of some trails that we can go to and not get in trouble for 4x4ing and camping along the trail??

 

Generally if you find "US Forest Service Roads" you are ok. Around here they do close them in the winter on account of the snow (some VT forest roads are closed due to rain from the Huricane this past fall too boot).
