I think the guys in norcal are meeting somewhere.

EDIT: As soon as my truck is fixed I will plan to make a run out to Sand Lake.

you guys should try and plan a McGrew trail run. Its off 199 near O'Brien IIRC. Its closed in winter to protect the Port Orford cedar root disease, but it would probably be a good run in the spring.
If planned in advance, I might even make the trip up for running it. :)

    mcgrew trail?
From: Grants Pass, OR 1) Take 199 South to O'Brien (very small town) 2) Take a right in the middle of town 3) Turn right (west) on Lone Mountain Rd. (Country Rd. #5550) 4) Proceed approx 4 miles to National forest entrance - stage anywhere 5) Main trail head is another 5-6 miles ahead - veer right on 4402-19 fork - continue up hill to open area (trail head clearing).

anybody sound game to go they got camping swimming gas and food 5-20 miles away maybe a nice weekend run? let me hear some imput and maybe we could plan for roughly april time frame?

I've driven up the base of the trail, but it is pretty rocky and too slow during the time the trail is open. I don't have A/C.
