Mojave trail need advice

    Another thought/suggestion:

    If it rains, don't bother trying to cross Soda Dry Lake. The sediment there turns into the slipperiest mud ever. And the mud has a higher salt content than sea water. You do not want to be sunk up to your frame rails in that muck trying to recover your vehicle. Unless you like rust.

    It is beautiful, though.
