    I was more of inquiring who uses them and a good one to get? I used one once and successfully got my truck unstuck and would just like to have it on board as opposed to an expensive electric winch

    I do think once I remove this damn bull bar I got and get a hitch shackle I'll be good to go. Around these parts we don't have a lot of big rocks, just ruts. I just can't come to terms with removing $400 worth of equipment (KC lights too)

    If you want to do it like a broke ass hick...grab one or two come alongs at a yard sale :cool:...best to have a shovel and axe to work with as well...But hey, mine has gotten me out of a jam more then a handful of times. I'd like a winch...but for the time being the 5 bucks i could afford to spend on my come along has been more helpful then the 500 I wish i could afford on a decent winch
