I stumbled upon this charity 4x4 trail ride/campout (cancer fundraiser) at the historic Oak Ridge Estate in Arrington, VA April, 21 & 22, 2012. This is the website www.wheelin4hope.com, anyone heard of it?

This is an "all breed" event with a 200 vehicle capacity, so I imagine there will be tons rigs of all shapes in sizes. The terrain is varied from stock-capable to difficult, with over 47 miles of guided trails!

I emailed someone related to the event and they said though it is a "jeep heavy event", they would LOVE to see a bunch of Toyotas out there. There is a $100 entrance fee (American Cancer Society), and it comes with some free goodies. There primitive camping available, and nearby camping/cabins at Crabtree Falls. There are less than 100 spots left, so we gotta get on the ball. I'm in, anyone else?

Check out the attachment, it has all the details you need! The woman I contacted with the event was very helpful and enthusiastic and said if we got a group together she could hold our spots until we mailed payment or paid online. The only stipulation was that we are paid by April 1st; at that time if we have not paid she will drop your spot. Additionally she said there was opportunity for sponsorship if you are a vendor of some kind.

The only requirements for the events are a valid driver’s license and registration, front/rear tie points, and attendance at the 8AM drivers meeting each morning where they inspect your vehicles.

I think this sounds like a great event for everyone to get to know each other and get out on the trail. The fact that there are professional guides and bypasses for difficult terrain should enable us to get a decent sized group out there, from beginners to experienced wheelers.

I'll start a list below, if you're in please add your name to the list and PM me a copy of the attached PDF with your information and mail payment or pay online.

Who's in?!? Lets friggin' wheel! :burnrubber:

3 hour drive for me. Not too bad. I'll have to keep an eye on this.
