Ya, it would but it would more than likely be a novelty item in his garage/man cave haha, with this I don't think I would have to buy him a present for a long time :D

I would think a huge part of "expo" would include being able to repair your own stuff on the fly, or not break it to begin with. Any suggested reading for the novice? Ie Auto Repair for Dummies?

Get one of those Haynes (I think) repair manuals, specific to your gen. truck. It tells you the right way on how to fix most things that could go wrong...and you can always get creative if need be

I think taco world has a lot more functional trucks than over there but I haven't explored much of the forum

I'm not talking about the Forum. I'm talking about the actual event in Arizona. There are some legit trucks and travelers there but there are TONS of dudes with trucks they've outfitted with all the high-dollar "expo" gear and have the image all the way down to their nothing-but-khaki wardrobes, but rarely even get their trucks in the dirt except to take pics with all their camp kitchens set up.

I've noticed how clean some are in the pics, I just thought they wiped them down for the camera haha I see a lot of those people around, most of the big trucks (after talking to owners) are for show and the owners know nothing about the products they put on the truck, the most often answer I get is, idk what it is I had a shop do it for me, it's really frustrating when trying to learn about trucks when they are all posers, one reason why I joined a forum
