    That's awesome!

Starting in LA, Lake Tahoe, Umpqua Hot Springs in OR, somewhere else in Oregon undecided for the next night, maybe Santiam St Forest. Up to Port Angeles area in the Olympic Peninsula, then Vancouver if time. On the way down hitting Seattle, Portland, Possibly Bend, and another place on the way back undecided. It's going to be a flex trip, no set schedule besides departure and arrival dates. Scoping breweries and chill towns for possible future residence. Any recommendations while I'm up there?

Hell's Canyon/Dug Bar in Eastern Oregon is incredible. Extra fuel, water and emergency comms are recommended if you chose to travel that way. Not sure if the Lord Flat trail will be accessible this time of year. If it is, that's worth the trip.

From there you could hit up Colockum (between Ellensburg and Wenatchee, WA). Interesting landscape, and will provide a few days of territory to explore.

Head up to Bellingham (where I live, unfortunately not there at the moment..). Lots of options in that area for overnight trips - shouldn't be snow at higher elevations yet. Have a few contacts up there that'd be more than happy to do a trip with you.

If you're super ambitious, BC is only a short hop away from Bellingham - have some info for up there if you're interested.

Sweet, yeah we would like to get up to BC, but only have 7 days on the road to voyage. Not looking to put in more than 8 hrs in a day either, just want to relax and cruise around. I'll definitely have to check out those places later when I get out of the office. Thanks for the recommends!

My girlfriend and I did an oregon road trip a few years ago from San Diego. We went up the 395 through Reno and then to Klamath Falls. We spent a night there but didn't do much, just passed through. The next night we spent in Deschutes National Forest after passing through Bend. We stopped at the skylight caves for a bit (I think it's here, or at least in the general vicinity: https://maps.google.com/maps?q=44.34255,-121.713025&hl=en&num=1&t=h&z=17) and then camped on a random back road out there. Check out the MVUMs for the area (http://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/deschutes/maps-pubs/?cid=stelprdb5318152).
Then we got back on the 242 and went over the pass, stopping in the lava fields overlook, which was amazing! We dropped down into Willamette national forest, which was absolutely beautiful. We just kinda wandered around on the fire roads out of Cougar Reservoir and ended up stumbling on Hidden Lake, which was super secluded and had some big rafts that you could take out. We spent some time cooling off there and then camped on an old super unused road to the southwest of hidden lake (http://goo.gl/maps/L5XaY).
    Here's a photo:

That was one of my favorite campsites I've ever been to.
The next day we explored up the hills to the southwest of Hidden lake and somehow got back to a highway and ended up in Eugene for the night.

Anyways, if you get the chance, definitely check out Deschutes NF and Willamette. There are tons of options for camping and exploring out there!

No problem! Have fun! I can't wait to go back.
If you do cut over from the 395 to Klamath Falls, be sure to have at least a full tank of gas (probably good to have extra on hand, too) and plan out the gas stations...we almost ran out of fuel and were saved by a hidden station that wasn't on the map, but it was a bit nerve-wracking.

Oh sh*t, sketchy. I haven't measured my jerry cans yet, hoping they can fit under the sleeping platform.

Weather this weekend didn't quite cooperate for our trip this weekend. Saturday morning we woke to about a half inch of snow with a rain mix following. We had plans for hiking hinting and fishing but since the weather outlook was bleak we decided to head to town for touristy things. We found an open house at cranberry bog and stopped for a tour. It was a gas and we had cranberry fever going on lol. Jackson county is beautiful though and we will do it again in the future!

Complete OME kit w/ 881's and dakars. All-Pro Sliders, CB, HAM Radio and various other minor stuff.
I was watching that weather this weekend but the snow didn't come this far south. I've got a wheeling trip planned for the end of this month in the Arrowhead so snow is a possibility.

The porch area of that tent looks to be almost collapsed, is that from the 1/2" of snow? I want to get a tent next year, but I want something that'll handle a little snow-loading.
