Post your Water Crossing Pics!

Just another type of obstacle...

Personally I have both the rear diff breather mod and a Safari snorkel so I'm a bit more prepared than a stock truck.

Here are a few of mine:

Here is a video Josh (JLink) took at the same time.

Post up some of your water crossing shots!

Thank you,
~ Craig

I bailed on these ones, if that counts. Too deep and soft and too deep and moving way too fast.

heres a video of me and Josh crossing the dirty devil river

only thing that scares me on water crossing is how fast it maybe moving. and getting water in side the truck.

I've crossed this before in my full size lifted Bronco on 33s. But that was a long time ago and at a time when it wasn't peak run off during an epic snow year.

So I watched this dumbass in a stock mid-80s Cherokee go first. He went in full throttle like a banshee. He hit a hidden boulder so hard he popped a tire. It was awesome. So he limped out.

When it was clear, I went... and dumbass's friend came roaring back the other way (not even bothering to see if it was clear - complete knobular yahoos). Well the asswipe ended up pushing his wake over my hood and up to my windshield.

After Ol' Red farted in his general direction, I decided to go back and get footage of how you actually cross this creek. Take note of me jogging around the huge hidden boulder dumbass hit full throttle.

Honestly I was dumbfounded. From the lack of etiquette (it's a long slow crawl from this spot to either end of the trail loop) and know-how.

I know not Tacomas. But these are my old vehicles when I lived in Iceland. I've actually had my headlights under water for a bit on my QX4. Seemed like the longest water crossing of my life. Didn't have a chance to take a pic of that though.

Here's mine. Signlehandedly the stupidest thing I've done in my truck yet. This was a couple weeks ago in the Grand River basin in Oklahoma, south of Disney and the Pensacola Dam. My buddy that I was traveling with crossed first, but he chose a spot farther to the right of where I did, where there was a sand bar that was only maybe a foot deep. I was shitting bricks when I crossed, but just kept trucking through. No damage and I got pretty lucky I think.
