Alright Colorado people, looking for some info...

Going camping/rafting in the Canon City area here in a couple weeks. From what I'm reading and hearing, it sounds like most of the Colorado Springs parks and areas either already are back open or will be soon, so we are hoping to maybe do some light offroading while we are there.

Does anyone have any trail recommendations for us? It will be my DCSB Sport 4x4 and a 2011 F-150 FX4 (similar to Off Road Tacoma). He has a locker, obviously I do not. Both trucks are stock suspension wise and both have good AT tires. We aren't looking for anything extreme, just some offroad trails that stock 4x4 trucks can do that will give us some cool scenery and maybe places to stop and hang out every once in a while.

    So, any recommendations?

Good idea, I didn't even think of that. Thanks.

Medano is good... crowded on weekends though.

It's also almost 3 hours from CO Springs

Deckers, about an hour from CO Springs, has some really nice trails. Hackett Gulch is the only name I can remember. Try looking up the area on traildamage.com

edit: nvm... see that you'll be in the Canon City area. I think both are equally as far away from Canon City

We are camping in Canon City, but will be spending at least one day in Colorado Springs, over around Pikes Peak to do some fishing and mountain bike riding. It was just a thought to hop onto some kind offroad trail there and maybe get some scenic driving in while we were in the area.

Anyone have any experience with the Mount Baldy trail in Co Springs?
