That's actually from factor 55.

OP is talking about a rubber thimble isolator though, not what you posted. An isolator will keep the thimble from banging and making noise on the fairlead.

gotcha.

OP, if you're ok with the look, i'd jsut cut a circular piece of rubber with a slid leading to a hole in the center. just slide it on when you pull in your line, and put it in your pocket when the winch is in use.

sounds like a good plan. I can't imagine a piece of polyurethane like that cost too much either.
