    yea i have the auto.

Im pretty sure i have the 3.73's right now in my sport and it downshifts like crazy going through hills. Is this something i will have a problem with running the 4.56's on 37's??

x2 i love my 4.88s they seem perfect but rpm's are a tad on the high side on the highway but i dont worry about it since im hardly ever on it.

Thats the bad part i do alot of highway mileage so im wanting low rpms on highway but not constantly downshifting also.

smart thing is to stay 33's i know this but who dont want to see a Tacoma on 37's with all the power needed to take on mtn roads doing 70+ mph

I went from 3.73's to 4.88's with 33's and I lost less than 1 mpg. I still pull about 15-16 in town and 17-18 on the hwy.

Yeah you have nothing to lose with 4.88's then I think. Might even bring your mileage back up a little maybe. Mine keeps going down the taller I make my Tacoma... what size tires are you running? It helps my mileage since I'm running 33x10's basically. Haha

I haven't decided if I want to go to 37's on IFS yet, maybe 36's and definitely at least 35's eventually. I would certainly go with the 4.88's though. Even on 33's the 5spd auto handles them well.

IF you are planning of stick a locker in the front you can only put a ARB in the front^

Yeah that is what I was thinking too. I believe Eaton makes an elocker for a hilux that fits our front diffs but it costs almost twice as much as an arb and has to be shippd from austrailia and even then it isn't a confirmed fit, just a highly likely fit.

For arbs f/r with the works and being generous on some of the install items and shipping. $3400 from ECGS and install yourself. With tax from the other place you're looking at about 4400? maybe more.
