Why would she tell him to turn into the grade? I thought pretty much one of the biggest no-no's of offroading is that you don't go sideways on a grade.

You thought correctly. She had NO clue, yet the whole time she speaks with such authority, that's why it makes me so angry. Not to mention that fact that no one intervened, not a single on of those stupid shits. Someone should have come forward and said hey let's take a look at this and then at least if your proceed against my advice I've done everything I can to prevent you from flopping.

"it's gonna slide" yeah it's gonna slide and flip the fuck over.

"I thought" you thought wrong bitch!

"it's not your fault" no, it's definitely your fault, and the dumb fuck driver

Another example of jeep spotters trying to conjure up a witch potion while spotting.

Reminds me of the pinyon mountain video from a couple years ago.

I would have punched that dyke in the face. I guess the driver isn't too bright for listening to her either. I laughed at the end of it, you can hear her in the back "god dammit, I'm stupid"

It sounded like there were people mumbling in the background about it not looking right t something; too bad they didn't speak up. You know the driver knew it was a fcked approach too. Everyone's fault.

Yeah, at second glance her failure was to not check the that front driver, she was watching the rear and that front driver climbed that little bump, dropped back down and he rolled. "he was on the line wasn't he?" No... I think had he been a little bit farther over he'd have made it like the AEV Jeep. I guess that's the line and that's a sketchy fucking line but she fucked up regardless.

At about :58 the AEV jeep has his tire right below that knob

if you are coming close to a flop...
get a strap or a fat boy on the corner and hold it down as it tips
at least you can save 10,000 in damage :D

it was very clear to all that was going to happen

For those that have never been on that obstacle, nearly all trucks need to climb it on an angle like that. The ledges are spaced just right to make it extremely difficult to climb it on a straight line. There is a reason that Pritchet Canyon is one of the harder trails in Moab, and Rocker Knocker is one of them.

I saw that video yesterday and my guess is the lady probably watched someone climb it successfully right before they tried it. Saw that they took it on an angle and did her best to follow what she saw. The problem is she never saw that the front tire was going to drop. You can just see it coming from the view of the camera.

Unlucky for sure and definitely poor spotting but before everyone goes nuts over the line, the lady had the right idea, just put the guy in the wrong place.

I'm in agreement after watching a few other trucks climb it but damn...
She's in the video right above your post too. "sometimes they'll slide" "the first one just did not slide"
    Well that's real nice lady.
