    Is there a drawback to not washing the truck? I don't think I have ever taken a hose to mine. I just wipe the windows sometimes.

    Exactly. Dirt holds moisture in it so when u have it covering metal then that metal will corrode over time. Although it won't be too quick so its not that big of a deal. The thing I hate the most about waiting awhile to wash my truck is its all rocky mud around here so that shit sets up and is hard as fuck to get off. Plus mud leaves stains in paint so the longer it sits, the longer and more work it takes to get the stains out. Pretty much the difference between just washing ur truck off and having to buff and wax it.
