While taking a 4x4 off road class this last week, it was mentioned as a great run. Has anyone done this, either as a group, or on their own?

Heading out on the trail over Labor Day weekend.

Going with a full load of vehicles, have the trail map, gps coords and guide info.

Right now getting gear ready, adding the rest of my skid plates. Just need to score an extra stock steel rim so that I have two spares.

Will post some pics when I return.

Great time, spent a week out there exploring the flats, canyon, old grave sites, hot springs, and following the old wagon train tracks.

This trip is a do not go by yourself, have two spares, extra gas, food and water. At some points 60 miles from pavement. Also watch the weather as flash floods, dangerous mud, hot springs up 180 degrees.

I live relatively close to the Lassen volcanic park but I've never heard of this trail before. Looks interesting. How'd you get to the trail?
