Any trails in N Illinois, Wisconsin, or the U.P.?

I've searched for hours and found nothing. Is there anywhere to go off roading in this area other than private property?

The only place I've heard of in WI was the "Pipeline Trail" up in the northern end of the state but from what I understand it was either closed partially or completely because of erosion.

Your best bet (or only choice I think haha) is Badlands Offroad park in Attica, IN. It seems to be the only place even remotely close to decent wheeling here in the mediocre midwest.

There are plenty of forest service roads in northern wi and the up but not being a "wheeler" I don't know if they meet your spec's. Some are pretty primitive two tracks but maybe not gnarly enough.

The U.P. is loaded with trails to wheel on. I've been wheeling there for the last 17 yr's. Haven't even come close to checking all of them out. Plus most snow machine trails are open to trucks in off season. No ORV pass needed if you are a registered vehicle (Lic plates)

Where can I find where all these trails are located? A link would be great.

Head north to the Nicolet national forest, lots of dirt roads and logging trails. Mild off roading but fun. Need a good set of tires and you should be set. Some of the trails are rough and rocky so 32 and good shocks would be best..

IF you even remotely care about your body DO NOT go to the cliffs. I caved in the whole pax side of my ext cab and part of my bed in less than 3 feet on one of the trails. the trails are either WAY easy or extreamly difficult, no real inbetween. You have been warned.

Lots of logging roads in the Chequamegon National Forest not as rugged as the Nicolet logging roads but still fun and both have tons of dirt roads....

Don't forget about the sand dune at Silver Lake MI and I'm finding some trails in the Manistee national forest...
