That low it will work - would be the same if you had it on a trailer too. Won't have much use for an annex at that level though. And don't worry about it being in the way - only when they're about 2" from being high enough to walk under do you need to worry. I've bumped into mine a few times...was more worried about fitting into my garage that I forgot to consider if I could walk under the damn thing!

That time of the month again?

I know it sounds strange but it does get dark at night.

Not laughing at your lights... just my comment.

I do like that idea a lot. I'd go with red just for ease on the eyes at night.

Red lights huh? Careful, don't want folks getting the wrong idea about what's going on up there ;)

I think it'd be ok. I wish mine were lower, but the I'd pretty much lose use of the annex...which is why I chose the shasta in the first place. When mine is sitting on top of the cab I can still walk underneath it with an inch or two of space above my head which is awesome for using the annex.

If I was wheeling a lot more I'd move it lower in a heartbeat though.

What size Tepui tent do you guys suggest for a family of 3? It would be me, my wife and 4 year old daughter. No pets and my wife and daughter are small. I was looking at the Kukeman and Autana.

Those are probably the best options, depending on how much room you want for gear. The Kukenam will fit the 3 of you for sleeping but won't have much room left for gear. The Autana would be my choice since you also get the annex. The annex would give you loads of room for extra gear.

One other thought, my wife LOVED our Autana with the annex because she could get up and come down the ladder to change clothes or whatever without ever having to be outside the tent. The privacy aspect was a huge plus for her.

Awesome, I might be stopping by the shop today or tomorrow to check them out. I do like the annex and my daughter is only going to get bigger, so what's another $150...

    Thanks for the help!

Be sure to check out the Autana Ruggedized. It is a killer tent.

I will, they are having a sale on the demo tents so I might not have too much of a choice, but I'll see what they have.
