Got to try out my tent in an rv park and still being a very small fraction of what those big things cost, I kept getting all the attention

get used to it...every trip at a campground includes a parade of gawkers. you'll learn to make dinner, clean up, make a fire, etc all before you set up the tent.

I was filling up at a mom and pop gas station a few days ago and the attendant called out all four other employees to look at my tent lol. All I needed was a couple gallons to top off my tank, but I ended up chatting for about 20 mintutes. And the tent wasn't even set up  I can't imagine what it'd be like in a busy campground haha.

It's funny to see how people change their walks to come see. Best to just set your chair on the end facing the road so you don't have to walk to far to chat :D

 I've kinda gotten used to it, and I don't really mind so long as I have all of my camp chores done. I've met some cool folks all because they wanted to ask about the tent, its a great ice breaker.

I've been stopped at gas stations too. Its handy to have a picture on your phone of the tent set up, trying to explain it to people can be tough sometimes.

...change their walk or you can hear the vehicle slow way down as they approach/pass your campsite.
The two funniest encounters ever were last summer when there was a little boy riding his bike through camp, round and round. Well after I set up the tent he comes riding up and slams on the brakes, skidding sideways and just standing on the road like . then hops back on his bike and disappears. a few minutes later he comes back with his dad in tow. dad was very embarrassed and apologetic and explained that his son insisted he come back to see the "transformer truck". the kid was very impressed with the tent so i let him climb up and check it out. and this summer when I was in grand teton and I had already had a couple of folks stop by I was just settling back down by the fire when I see a camera flash go off out of the corner of my eye...some lady snuck over, took a picture of my truck/tent and then ran away! i guess she didn't want to bother me but i wouldn't have minded at all. i just thought it was funny so tried to be so sneaky about it. tourists....

It's a lot like motorcycle touring. People are willing to come by and chat if there's something they can ask you about.

Sweet! I've wondered what the Siberian Camo would look like on a gold truck. Not bad. Congrats!

Nice, did you get it from the Santa Cruz Tepui store? They have some inventory clearance ones, but unfortunately I need to keep our extra cash for our vacation next month.

Well time has come to finally sell my Tepui ruggedized kukenam.

I am starting the price out at $1,000 which I believe is a good price to move it fast. I am just looking to cover the cost of my next tent so I can get some winter camping in. I am located in laramie, wy and won't be able to travel until 2015 most likely.

PM me for more details if you are interested.

Either a Kifaru or Wyoming Lost and Found tipi. Should be much nicer for winter camping and can be used for backpacking trips as well. Plus it will be 100x better with the pup.
