Behind the rear seat storage - My solution

The buy thread!!
http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd...ml#post8489305

I hated the plastic bins behind my rear seats so I designed a MOLLE style panel. It came out really nice.

What the space looks like when bins are removed.

The panel fresh off the laser table and bent up

Test fitting it, it covers up a lot of the exposed sheet metal, makes it look almost factory

I am using the rear seat brackets for the latch system to bolt it in, but it needed some more threaded holes. I installed some 1/4-20 rivet nuts a few places. I made my own install tool too.

The panel was made out of 12 gauge steel and needed to be painted. I picked a color that was close to my truck color.

I trimmed that mastic stuff a little as you can see, The panel fit better.

Time to try it out. I need more MOLLE pouches now, lol.

Perfect for storing a rifle.

Plenty of room when the seats are up

i would love something like this for my 04 double cab. but im probably going to end up putting a sub back there.

you could make 3 versions of that. a 100 a 60 and a 40. 60/40 to cover each side of the seat if we already got a sub or whatever else back there.

Great idea. I'd be interested in a sub accommodating version.

Wow i love this! I really like it a lot. Great design, and much more efficient use of the area IMO. I'm interested based on price. Only concern i have is little stuff falling behind the holes.

I'm mosdef interested. Any chance you'd offer a version that would accommodate the JBL sub assembly on the lower passenger side?
