well maybe not the cheapest. But it looks to cost about what you would pay in a place like West Marine for just the wire. At least this is already cut, connectors on the end and sealed/heat shrinked. I'll save my time and just go this route. win win......now still trying to decide on the winch to pull the trigger on lol

I did the same and ordered back on August 28th. I've now had two shipping delay notifications from Autoanything. My shipping dates have been,

1st - 08/29/2014 - 09/03/2014
2nd - 9/11/2014
3rd - 9/18/2014

The 3rd just happened today and they sent an email that required me to accept the new date or the order would be automatically terminated/refunded. After the first delay I complained and got 5% taken off the order. I'm wondering if at this point they are just stringing me along to not have to sell me at the discounted price.

 

I've never heard of this and it feels like a slimy business practice to "get sales" but then back off a sale price.

 

wow that is interesting. I have ordered many things from them with no problems. Honestly if I can get 5% more off I'll take it for the first delay. by the third time I would be canceling it and ordering from somewhere else I think. (but then again IDK we shall see)

Ive always had good experience with auto anything, thats a great price..... I should have waited, ohwell

 

I've ordered from them in the past with no issues. Even on an order that I obviously messed up, they swapped the part with no extra charge. This current order just feels strange. They have no information on the site listing backordered or a problem with supply.

Look at the current shipping dates.


I get my order delayed, but they are still taking new orders with no delay in shipping expected. Just feels really skeezy.

I hope my winch and cover show up sometime in the next month, lol.

 

This is what mine says under my account:

"This item has been placed on order with the manufacturer and will ship via FEDEX Home Delivery.
Estimated Shipping Date:9/10/2014 - 9/12/2014"

 

Please post up here when you get a tracking number or delay notice. When I spoke with Autoanything, they told me the delay was with the manufacturer and they have no control over the delay. I'm curious to see when they start shipping.

 

yeah for sure. If it is with Smittybilt (which I am sure it is) prob doesn't matter who you order it from unless they have some in stock.

 

mine says it "should" ship 9/10-9/12 but honestly if by like wed next week it hasn't I might cancel it and order it directly from Smitty. However if it is a result of them being on backorder from smitty then that will do no good I guess.

I just want the damn thing now!

Called smittybilt they are on back order for at min 10more days. So everyone is out right now

So I reordered with autoanything since smittybilt direct wouldn't give me the discount.

 

Nope, no issues for me though, i did relocate the remote plug onto the bumper.
