    mine didnt come with a prop so i dont put it in that much water.

    Ya the water dried white one my white paint so I sprayed off the under side of the truck and saved a few quarters from washing the outside :)

    If you really want your Engine bay to "Shine" again. Use a rag, and some ATF. Thats what we used when I worked as a Auto Detailer.

    When your truck is cool and not hot at ALL, get some Simple Green Max from the auto parts store, and spray it onto the engine. Let it soak and then rinse it out with a hose. Doesn't hurt anything, as I've been doing this method to all my cars, and I picked up the method from my stepdad whos been doing it a lot longer than me. haha

    But it you spray this on while your truck is hot, you could risk cracking metal....

    Plenty of times I have used a power spray on my engine, should get the chunky stuff off, unless your local car wash water is just as dirty.

    To get it really clean...nothing beats some water, a rag and a toothbrush. To get to suitable for day to day whatever....Careful spray in there is fine.
