no. Originally this thread was started to show off my 1/10 scale r/c car that I played with in the mud but then it became a discussion about r/c cars. I decided that I would like to share pics of my other r/c even though it's off topic of the thread title.

They are very cool... send this to a friend that doesn't do RC and tell him that it's some friends you went 'wheeling with. See how long it takes them to realize they're RC.

AWESOME!!! That track is so sweet. I wish I had a track to play on. I usually play in open fields, usually sand.

I wish my dad shared the R/C car hobby with me. Usually I'm rcing by myself or with a buddy that uses my sis's Rustler that she kinda gave to me.

I understand with the maintmence. I'm running a Mambamax 5700 with stock gears on the evader and I've chewed through the tranny twice now. I accelerate like a granny now though and it's holding up well.

Subscribing to a cool thread.

I've had a Kyosho Inferno US Sports 1/8 buggy that I still beat on from time to time. Just recently I picked up a Losi 8ight-T converted to brushless that I still need a radio for. I'm really looking forward to some bashing without the hassles of nitro. :)

    thanks.

What brushless system do you have in the Losi? I just had a mamba max 5700 put in mine. I also got a dtx 4200 7 cell. It's fast as hell now. I drive it like grandma though after rebuilding my tranny twice now. I'm going to put a stronger diff and idler gear in it soon.

I hear you with nitro. I've pretty much given up with my nitro 4-tec. I tried to start it yesterday but it won't. All well I like the dirt way better anyways.

I would love to have an Hpi 5b but that's alot of dough. 30 minutes on one tank sounds nice though.

Out of your two trucks which do you prefer? I have a stadium truck that I love to go fast with, corner fast, and jump so I don't know if I would like a monster truck. Is the savage easy to flip over?

I would also like a Taco body but can't find one.

    ajohnson

You have quite a collection. One would think you were a Traxxas fan or something. haha. I'm personally a Duratrax fan but they can't compete with Traxxas's selection.

I would definatly like to see some pics if you find any.

Hey cant comment on the savage, but my emaxx rolls like crazy,I stiffened up the suspension and it helped, firestorm handles better but gets "stuck" on little stuff more. The emaxx monster truck will go over some pretty impressive stuff. It is perfect for my attention lacking 11 year old, lol. If you like to go fast, corner fast and jump, find someone with an 1/8th scale buggy or truggy and drive it. WARNING you will want one,I bought the firestorm to run with my kids. Drove a friends 1/8th buggy, ordered the losi the next day.Amazing difference.
BUT I love playing with the monster truck as well.

hahaha Yea I guess you could say I am a Traxxas fan. My first hobby grade rc was a Rustler that I still have (in pieces). Right now my favorite is the Slash.

    Jason,
I like the Savage more and it does roll pretty easy but it's been very durable and I love jumping with it, I added 3 speed gears and reverse to it also, i had a CEN Matrix Arena 1/8 Truggy that I just sold this week to put money toward wheels for the Tacoma, that handled nice!
The Nitro MT-2 is my sons and it corners nicely, he loves it he's rolled it a few times but he can run circles around me!

Cool. Thanks everyone for the feedback on the truck handling. Yeah I do like the faster stuff so I guess I'll be sticking to the buggies/stadium trucks.

My sis has a Stock Rustler that she never uses and I kinda inherited so it's been a guest truck so I can go play rc with my friends, the ones I trust atleast. I drove it the other day after playing with my evader and damn does it feel slow.

Doesn't the savage come stock with a 2 speed? That's cool that you added a gear and reverse. Did you just replace the whole gearbox?

I flip my evader kinda often and have never broken anything significant. Most r/c are built pretty well. Anything other than the Radioshack junk. No offense to anybody that uses those.

Does anybody have a solution to preserve the plastic around the battery cells? I've got about 15 runs out of a pack and there are already a few holes where the plastic has been rubbed away. I guess it's a pretty rough ride for the battery.

    Hi Jason,
Ya it comes with a 2 speed but just like the real trucks the mod bug bites!
I opened up the case and replaced the gears, you can buy it all assembled but I like to open things up and do it my self.
Did you try foam tape in the battery box, that might keep it in there tighter and prevent it from bouncing around.
We started out with electric about 10 years ago, i had a Traxxas Stampede and my boys had Rustlers, they are very well built trucks that Stampede used to take quite a beating and come back for more!
