I have not forked over the $600 for the external so I just have the pop up which sucks big balls! Little by little I will eventually get my gear setup for some night runs! :D

I might just end up buying a 600 or 800 but I was looking into getting a couple of them with separate stands and wireless triggers. I really want to pick up some AlienBees...but that's going to be later on when I start making some $$$

have you played with a tripod and 30 second + exposures yet? Some of the pics can come out realy well. Obviously it wouldn't work with trucks but it works awesome with landscapes.

With your permission I'll post one of my favorite night shots. I just don't want to be a dick and jack the thread.

I don't know about alien bees but my dad uses JTL and love them, he recomends them to anybody who asks about flashes. They are well built and are reasonably priced.

It has very little to do with hte camera and lens, it has a lot to with this guys ability properly use his equipment and to compose his shots.
Two SB800's are way more portable and affordable.

Dude you did a excellent job showing what a great time you had, you use of composition realy takes us on the trail with you.

That looks like some seriously fun and intense wheelen.:D
I'd really like to go on a trip like that, maybe a little easier for my first big trip.
