Do some research on this forum (upper blue bar) and on www.google.com
There are lots & lots of different lockers out there and they're all different. They vary in cost and vary in complexity as well as street manners. What exactly are you looking for? How much do you want to spend?

I recommend the ARB lockers. I had my 3rd taken down to yotamasters in corona, CA and they did an excllent job. You can also contact East Coast Gear supply. They do excellent work as well. As far as the removal and installation of the axles from th truck, you can do it yourself if you are a little mechanically inclined and have some basic tools. But like Oakley said, make sure you have the actual locker install handled by a trained professional.

Do some more research about lockers...like I said before, there's sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many different types. We can't tell you anything about them unless you give us specifics of what you want. If your not used to working on vehicles or doing mechanical work - then chances are...No, you shouldn't install it. Have a professional install it.

getting a pair of high quality lockers installed is going to cost you some righteous bucks.
be well aware of that. the real question is do you need them and how are you going to use them. if you are not wheeling your vehicle in a serious manner then a front and rear locker usually isnt really needed. However for example if you had to cross a ice covered muddy field every day all winter to bring hay or bust up the ice in the water trough for your cattle then I would suggest both front and rear lockers and mud tires fitted with chains. (personally I would also add a winch if this were the case) However, a rear locker alone is usefull in many common low traction situations adventuresome folks often find themselves in. A common situation where a rear locker comes into play is a stuck situation that is due to a lack of both tires pressing fairly equaly and forcefully into the terrain . For example when is when you have one rear wheel in a mud puddle or ditch and the other on terra firma. In such a situation an open diff will send all the power to the uselessly spinning tire and none to the tire with a solid bite. a locked diff will route "power" (read tractive effort) evenly allowing the tire with traction to turn thereby pushing you forward and onto more solid ground. Situations like, heavily rutted trails or where one or more tires are lifted off the ground. Having both front and rear suspension componants flexed opposite each other causing a low traction situation on opposing tires is another.

"easy off roading" and dual lockers do not go together.
You really don't need one, or two lockers to do easy, heck even moderate to hard offroading...
