Slider installation input needed

I have chosen to go with avid off road sliders but I have a few questions.

So can anyone see a problem with getting bolt on sliders and welding them on?

I'm thinking doing this so it would be easier to mount them and not have to worry about not getting the positioning right and then weld them on instead of just bolting them up.

lastly, anyone have an opinion about angling the sliders when they go on or keep them flat?

like this: ___ or __/

That's not a bad idea. Bolt on and put some small tack welds around them. As far as the angle goes I prefer a little angle, just for looks only. I'm thinking you'll have more protection straight out?

I angled mine for better clearance (if your truck Leans your flat sliders point straight down at the ground) and also for better protection of the rocker panels which often get damaged
