well, if the kids start acting up, you could always tell them you'll leave them there for the coyotes to eat

The DVNP site is OK but often their info lags except for the main touirist areas, besides Inyo County maintains the Saline Valley Rd.
Thanks 'TMW'!

SPA does not maintain the warm springs but aims at helping those interested informed as to what is needed at the springs, be it labor or supplies. It is a very informative forum.

Keep it peaceful and serene in Saline. No riffraff thanks.

Got back last week from a great trip to Saline Valley. We took south pass and the washboard down the alluvial fan and valley is much better but there are still some areas to slow down for. Grapevine canyon has some deeper washouts but several people have put the effort in to build them up with rocks. Most 4x4s can probably make it with no problem.

If you go to the springs there are major washouts on Bat Rock Road. Just take it easy.

Or just have good bump stops and about 16" of travel. ... and I didn't put it in 4wd other than for engine braking going down.

Are you part of the EXPO group on the portal? There is a group going next weekend from that site.

Too many. Still going through them. With my truck battery project and looking for employment, post processing photos is on the back burner. Been kinda lame about trip reports this year.

No, this is a scout outing, combo of off roading and hiking to the mines. Between the Panamint valley days and the expo outing I am sure we will see a few people out there.

Is there a master among us? It's a big place. I think it would be fair to say that we are just students... this place has a lot of places to discover and learn about. I'm sure there will be a trip in the near future. The weather is about perfect right now.
