    CVYota,
From your experience on that run, was the pass safe for a non-skidded, non-armored dclb with 2 1/2 inch lift ? Last time I went thru I was in a 6 inch lifted jeep and the rocks obstacles were pretty mild.

    Thanks!

The video I linked a few posts up shows Mengel Pass as of February. You can see that almost all of the rigs are stock. No problems getting through. I'd imagine the only part that will feel uncomfortable will be the first turn, which is off camber.

Yeah I have seen that before.

    1. Get rental insurance
    2. Don't trust GPS
    3.Gun it

We watched 2 rentals go through titus valley. Yaris I think.

A graded gravel road is no big deal.

I was "wheelin'" the family minivan on a dirt road out to a Boy Scout camp out by big sur.

But no matter what your rig - from family camry to purpose built jeep - at some point an obstacle presents and judgement needs to kick in and say "time to turn around NOW."

Another fine trip will executed! Thanks for sharing pics.

Those petroglyphs are very cool! I hope you don't mind, I was goofing around with altering the images to produce artistic renderings. Here are a few interesting results. If you don't like, PM me and I'll remove.

Thanks for sharing. As always please keep locations of petros limited to PM's. The more people who know locations places these precious artifacts in jeopardy. Glad you got to enjoy them.

Bummer about the shock. My stock taco has been to DV many times and "knock on wood" hasn't suffered an injury like that.

Oh shit that sucks! I found out my passenger side axle boot gave up on its self while airing back up. We keep running into each other out there people are going to think we're hippies! Stealing some of those pictures if that's cool.
