The perfect argument for sliders !!!

That's not always the case, as long as you are on a marked Forest Service Road or County road you should be covered. It would be under your comprehensive coverage and your deductible will still apply. I was off roading when I had my little accident and my insurance covered it, even after I told them I was on a dirt road.

Yes, but as long as you are on a marked road you are covered. Stick to the trails and roads and there will be no problem...

For sliders, check out Brandon from Avid Off road. He has a great product and does awesome work for a very reasonable price.

I am aware they investigate , I said dont volunteer the information not to lie about it there is a difference. If you are asked directly obviously you would own up to it but you dont tell them exactly what happened unless asked...

 

I guess I should have specified Off-Roading if you are on marked trails it generally gets paid , I am talking about true off-roading not trail running there is a difference.

True true, but they have their own set trails. What he is suggesting is not staying on a trial but making his own. If that's not what he meant then I apologize for jumping to a conclusion, but the way it was written leads me to believe otherwise.

I wasn't insinuating that is what I do at all. I am simply saying for insurance purposes one gets paid the other doesn't plain and simple. Nothing more nothing less.

 

Sliders are 50% the cost of the insurance deductible and cheaper than a set of steps or running boards. Win Win!!!

I got lucky. you can't see mine unless your under the vehicle. That was at cleghorn in june '09. I plan on getting sliders before I do any more wheelin.

 

you use these? That wold be great if they were a decent set. I don't need the top of the line set as I'm not out every weekend, As long as they do the job a few times a year. That price is great.

 

check them out! they are a weld on set. they dont come painted, but who needs paint down there anyway.imo you should get the l-braket kit. it makes life a whole lot easier when it comes to mounting time.
the gusset kit doesn't hurt either!

 

screw wheels as being next on the list...obviously sliders can't wait.
