A basic search didn't turn much up about JT. Does anyone have info and/or pics about where the best spots are? I have the NatGeo map but don't know much about it other than the proximity to 29 Palms.

I know it well. Jumbo Rocks campground is my favorite.

The best 4x4 trail to enter the park from the south is Berdoo Canyon. I ran it in November 2009 and spent 3 days in the park.

What activities are you going to be doing?

Already went for a day trip last Saturday. Jumbo Rocks is where we went and JT is a very neat place to go. The campsites are well maintained and organized. There are also signs noting exhibits coming up on the highway. Had a great time there and look forward to many more.

Congrats on a fun trip :yay:.

I found this blog of a couple who do regular trips into Calif. deserts. Many of their trips are into J-Tree http://www.dzrtgrls.com/trips.htm

If you follow the links you can check out some of their pics.
