Mud Terrains, you can do more. But for the most part, 2WD is 2WD and you cant do a whole lot. But Mud terrains will help. Hell its a toyota

It can, but its a pre-runner. They arent bought to be Mudded.
Hell make it look good and drive it like a baby.

I love my 4wd but i mainly use it for snowy conditions.

I have a Prerunner with off-road package and from personal experience, speed and smart steering are your friends.

I've gone up hills and trails that I never thought a 2WD truck would make it through. Goto Nor Cal forums and click on the Hollister Hills Pics and Photos thread and ask other Tacoma owners who went off-roading with me about what they think about Prerunners... They will tell you how amazed they are on how I was able to keep up with them 4x4s on a lot of the rough trails.

My advice:

-Speed is your friend in most situations
-Proper steering to the right spots on the trail
-Air down your tires to half the PSI of what you normally have
-Have good tires
-If you have a locker, engage the locker before you drive through a trail where you think you might get stuck

Ok well since yall are on this topic, what is the difference between a electric locker and a air locker? I have searched but still dont fully understand it..

I once climbed a big clay and (small) rock pile. Got close to the top on a plateau and got out to look around and my feet sunk into the clay about two inches. I thought I was going to be calling the tow truck but I was able to get a just enough momentum to get off the plateau.
