cousin cut my TOW strap.. can i repair?

    Leveling kit, 285/60/18 toyo a/t open country, smoked tale lights
    Heya tc world!! So I let my cousin use my strap and he brought it back to me with one eye cut... I was wondering if there is any way to repair it?? I was thinkin maybe put the cut eye together and put a hole in them then, put a shackle threw it... or use some cable clamps to put the cut part together... idk guys lemme no what's up! Any ideas r appreciated!!!

    He said he looped it into itself on someones truck and he yanked it out, said the strap got inna bind on itsself and he couldn't get it off.. freakin idiot.. he's said he'll buy me a new one..
