    hey guys i just bought a new 2013 taco with the trd off road package and would like to get together with people and go on some trails / camping trip before summer ends.

    head a little further south. anza borrego and ocotillo wells aren't too much further. but, you might want to wait till the desert cools down a bit.

    I grew up and lived in Indio for a lot of years and there used to be a lot places to go but I think now they are all off limits. You may have to go somewhere out side Riverside county. You may still be able to go up Berago Canyon (sp?) which goes from indio hills into Joshua Tree park.

    1 hour south to Ocotillo Wells is VERY much worth it. Heck, I live 3.5 hours away and I head out there as often as I can.
