I tried starting a thread about this in the product reviews section and did a search for the topic with no luck. Anyone have any experience using an Ironman winch? I saw a new 12000 lb one for sale for reasonable $ and am unsure about moving on it. Any opinions/experience?

Their lifts seem good (I don't have one, I've read about them). Doesn't really speak for their other products though.

    Hey PaulK,

Whilst it's a bit late for us to now make a comment on that thread there have been some significant updates to our winches since that thread.

We have since release a whole new generation of winch that we feel is a significant upgrade. Rather than me rambling on about the changes I'll just post up our advert for it. It will cover all the upgrades/features.

Now one thing I will make clear is yes they are made overseas (i.e. not Australia). BUT this is not a reflection of the quality of the winch. We work with specific manufacturers who have built the winch to our specs and with our features. They are in no way a Chinese copy, they have been tested and proven with extensive testing by us in Australia before we released them to the public.

    Cheers,

    Matt

Good information. Please don't misunderstand my above posting as a negative personal opinion - just linking the group to information. I am actually considering an Hidden Hitch/Ironman package for my 2013. I will take your advertisment into account when shopping.

    Hey Paulk,

No misunderstanding mate :D just thought I'd pitch in the fact that they are all talking about our old generation of winch, which isn't a reflection of the quality and design of our current generation winch to ensure there is no confusion for others reading it!

The hidden hitch setups are very cool! I'll look forward to seeing how it turns out!

    Cheers,

    Matt
