    huh? I hope not.

Bob does all the admin stuff. The moderators mess with posts and have assorted ninja skills, if I told you what they were, you wouldn't understand.

Yeah I understand what you're saying, but why only delete certain "off topic" posts? That's where the suspicion lies. You delete the ones that state the thread has gone to shit to save face. Otherwise you would delete all off topic posts in the threads in which you deleted my posts. Your logic just doesn't jive.

You'll probably say that you just deleted mine because I ask for rep LOL. Hell I ask for rep in my signature all the damn time. And a ton of other posts from other users ask for rep too, but those don't get deleted. But it is interesting that the only ones that get deleted are the ones that state that the thread has gone to shit. Like I said, it's a face saving measure. I'm alright with that, but it does seem a bit like a power trip to me.

I don't want to get in trouble for posting this stuff, but you did bring it up. I would have been fine if it would have never been mentioned.

Here's the truth, the whole statement just annoys me and causes a rep riot that annoys me further. I'm OK with you stating that a thread has gone to shit. I'm not OK with you justifying asking for rep by saying that a thread is already worthless.

Also, I have been tempted to adjust your signature.

This is the thread that made me start this thread. I had reached my limit.

Extended Warranty would have been a good reading topic IMO...And it went to shit after 6 posts. Don't get me wrong, I like to have fun just as much as the next guy...But, gezus. Anyway ITS Friday!! WOOHOOO

i have to agree, i guess there is no problem on derailing a thread once the original topic has been covered, and i guess thats what we do here, answer first, than the thread can go to shit.... but that pisses me off too, to see a post that has nothing to do there.....

I hate it when threads go off topic that much.

If you want to post female pics, do it in the damn missileman thread like your supposed to.

    I fixed it.

The moderators don't browse every thread. If you see something that should be deleted, go ahead and press the alert button on the lower left of the post.

i just reported that post, i hope it is removed soon....

Here's how i see it. this forum is known for getting off topic, but its also known for being friendly and answering questions. it is annoying to search for what you're looking for and get a bunch of posts from me and mjp and hot dog making fun of each other. But if you get a post like that, just start a thread asking the question and it will get answered. thats why there are multiple posts about the same topic, and nobody has a problem answering questions multiple times. i dont think threads need to be closed just because they drift off into nothingness, or else all threads would be closed.

As far as rep whoring, i just ignore it. i will never give rep because someone asks for it, in fact i'm less likely to rep them in teh future, but i just overlook it. Klown for example, has never gotten rep from me by asking for it. however, he did neg rep me by accident and he owned up to it. usually people dont let you know if they neg rep you, so the fact that he owned up to it compelled me to positive rep him. so if he deserves it, i'll rep him, if he begs i dont give anything. and just keep in mind, the rep doesnt really mean anything, its just a fun little doohicky thats built into the site. the only thing that actually means anything is your post count..... and fortunately i'm winning. Bob sends me checks all the time for being #1 post whore along with letters begging me to never leave the site.

WTF!?!? Rep don't mean anything? It means more then post count. Anybody can post anything LOL. Rep is valuable, rep pays the rent and pays for the hookers.
